Recently, I rediscovered a super easy healing technique called "Tapping" or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Now, this is not a new healing practice and in fact, I had tried it a few years ago with little success. However, I just happened to see a Tapping video by Nick Ortner and was pleasantly surprised to find that when I did the technique ... I actually felt a change!
This led to further investigation of the technique. So far, I have tried four different youtube tapping videos (Introduction to Tapping, Getting Rid of Procrastination, I am Enough and Being Calm) by Nick Ortner and have experienced positive changes and results. I did not have any positive results when I tried tapping years ago, but his process is different from what I remember so perhaps the method I was following back then was not correct.
EFT is all about tapping on a few of the acupressure points on your body to get relief from chronic pain, emotional issues, post traumatic stress disorder, addictions and fears/phobias. When you tap on specific energy meridian points on your body, you stimulate your own healing power.
The basic tapping technique is quite easy to do...
1. Focus on the negative emotion/issue (fear, anxiety, bad memory, problem - anything that's bothering you and the more honest you can be with yourself - the better your results). 2. Keep the focus on the issue and at the same time use your fingertips and tap 5-7 times on 12 of the body’s meridian points. 3. Slowly change your focus to accepting and resolving the negative emotion/issue so that you return your body to a balanced state of Being.
