Wendy's Diary - Tales of Living in the Light
Patterns of Release

August 25

Dear Lightworker,

Bit of a bizarre day today for sure. So it started out "heavy" - very heavy energies. Now, I'm not surprised at all because yesterday was obviously a day of releasing and I expect tomorrow to be much the same as today. And if I remember correctly, it was the same way last week, but this week isn't quite as intense.

I decided to take a walk at the lake. I knew I would be walking slow because of course it felt like I was walking through mud. As always, I asked Archangel Ariel and the Nature Spirits of the area to join me on my walk and to share with me sights in nature - particularly sights of wildlife that would be interesting, fun, beautiful or a learning experience. I also asked Archangel Ariel to help get rid of the heavy energy.

They did not disappoint! I saw 3 baby blue jays, herons, egrets, ducks, geese, turtles and once again I saw a huge snapping turtle eating another snapping turtle! That is the second time I've seen that and it is very unusual. I think it's probably a message that I have yet to figure out. So, all in all it was a lovely walk and by the end of it, I didn't feel as heavy so Archangel Ariel must have lent a helping hand.

So I get home and since it was such a gorgeous day, I opened the windows to let the breeze through. I popped outside to do something and low and behold, the beautiful breeze grabbed the door and slammed it shut on me. Thus my moment of, "Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!"

I was standing outside in bare feet. No phone, no purse and of course ... no key. I was locked out. I knocked on the door of the guy that lives downstairs and nobody answered. Then I walked over to the other unit and thank goodness Lucy answered. I told her what happened and asked if she could call the landlord for me. She said that she would. I breathed a bit of a sigh of relief and headed outside to wander around.

By this time the guy from the other unit came out and I told him what happened and gave him a piece of his mail that was wrongly delivered to the "landlords" mailbox directly outside my unit. I have to check it every so often because the mail guy often messes up - good old Canada Post (she says sarcastically)...

So at this point I realize that I have to wait for the landlord. Now remember that I'm barefoot so I'm limited as to where I can go. It's not like when I was a kid and walked everywhere in bare feet. I also know it's going to be at least 20 minutes if not longer before the landlord arrives. Thank goodness it was a gorgeous day and not like yesterday, which was humid and hot.

As I have nothing else to do, I start to mull over the situation. I realize we have covid, but I was truly surprised that neither of the other tenants offered me a place to wait. Maybe I expect too much, but I know that if either of them had locked themselves out I would have said - "come on in and wait if you want". Different generation? Afraid of getting ill? Don't care? Just ill-mannered? Not sure, but it certainly tells you something about people.

Don't get me wrong though. I was very grateful that Lucy called the landlord and I do know from talking to her husband that she is afraid of getting covid - to the point asking him to take off his clothes and going and taking a shower after coming home from work. And I do have to share that she did also say that if I needed to use the bathroom to knock on the door - so that was kind.

Anyway, momentary contemplation on how times or people have changed...back to the story.

So now what? What would you do in the same situation? Well, I sat on the porch for a few minutes but it was too hard on my tender bottom LOL so I decided to sit on the grass in the front yard. This was the perfect opportunity to do some "grounding or earthing"! If you don't know what I'm talking about I suggest listening to my podcast by clicking here. (page opens in new browser)

I carefully made my way through the prickly weeds to a spot between the windows of the downstairs neighbour which was all brick so he didn't have to watch me and plunked down. Luckily the landlord had not cut the grass so there was a lush spot and it was in the shade.

I watched the traffic drive by for a few minutes as the front yard faces a busy road during the day. When I got bored with that, I planted my feet firmly on the ground and began repeating the Lord's Prayer because I know it connects me to the love grid. It was truly quite enjoyable.

Not only that, it was actually a bit of a break from work as well. You would think that going to the lake for a walk would be a break from work, but alas no. I do readings and other things while there. So it is not totally relaxing. This however, was relaxing to the fullest because I didn't have a phone or anything else to do - just sit, breathe, and connect to the earth and the love grid.

It's moments like that where I'm glad that I have the knowledge that I have and can take advantage of that type of connection to Spirit. If you don't have that type of connection to Spirit, I seriously recommend developing so you do. It helps in sooooooo many situations.

And really, there were so many choices in terms of spiritual stuff I could have done while waiting. I could have spoken to someone in Spirit. I could have done some messages for myself. I could have done a guided type of meditation/visualization. I could have chanted. I could have spoken to the Nature Spirit around me. Lots of choices...

Finally the landlord arrived and I got back into my place. And yes, I will make sure I have an extra key that is not in my purse...
